How Does the Program Work?

This program combines 12 recorded video content modules along with content teaching Q&A call recordings, case study review call recordings and guest expert teaching presentation recordings from the 2022 Live Women’s Hormone Health Certification Program.

The Women’s Hormone Health Self-Study Program is structured to be a 6-month program based on the content release schedule. However, by taking the self-study route you’re able to work at your own pace as you’ll have access to the content forever.

If you were to follow along each month as the modules are released and the call recordings are shared, you’re looking at between 5-7 hours per month.

The Women’s Hormone Health Self-Study Program is structured to be a 6-month program based on the content release schedule to help you stay on track with the program.

However, if you’d like to work through the content faster, we’re happy to set up a custom content release schedule for you if need!

No, the self-study program is not a certification.

However, participants of the self-study program will have the opportunity to upgrade the self-study program to receive their certification from the Institute for Menstrual Health.

Doing this will require that you attend two virtual teaching workshop days with Nicole and her incredible guest experts, held each spring and fall.

Please note that there is an additional fee of $500 USD for upgrading to the Certification program to cover the cost of the two virtual teaching workshop days.

If you’re someone who does better in a live setting, or is really looking to get live support as you work through the content then the Women’s Hormone Health Certification Live Group Program is probably a better fit for you.

Enrollment for this year’s program has closed, BUT you can join the waitlist for next year’s program here!

The program is not currently affiliated with any governing body or association for CEU credits.

This is a knowledge-based program which is not accredited with any specific institutions or entities, however, depending on where you’re looking to obtain certification or credits from, you may be able to use our course curriculum to apply for accreditation within your institute/association.

In a case like this, you’ll likely have to fill out and submit some forms, along with the course curriculum, and a letter from the program signing off on your completion which we would be more than happy to provide. So this may be an option for you!

We know you think this is an important question because you want to go through a legitimate training program, you want your certification to be recognized in your country and you want potential clients to know you’ve been trained by a credible organization.

And we 1000% get this.

When Nicole went through her training programs, she wanted to see what governing body was overseeing the people who were offering these courses too.

She wasn’t going to spend all this money on a program that didn’t at least have one third party endorsement.

But what she didn’t know at the time was that these training programs used “accrediting” organizations that only exist to make training programs look more legit.

However, anyone who creates a certification program can apply. All you have to provide them is a copy of your training certification or degree, evidence that you got a college education and a $285 fee.

One example organization is the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM) accreditation board. To be considered for accreditation through their organization, all you have to do is fill out an application, share the details about your certification program and pay a $270 fee.

Once approved by either of these organizations, you will then pay a yearly fee to be able to use their accreditation badge on your website.

So while your program curriculum and setup is initially vetted by these organizations, no one in the organization goes through your program thoroughly, or continually oversees your program to make sure you are offering what you say you offer.

They are for-profit organizations that have little to no oversight of their business practices.

This is one of the biggest reasons why we have held off from signing up for accreditation.

What we do instead of spending money on accreditation

We’d much rather spend money on hiring experts in the field to thoroughly review and vet my content and curriculum. We have a medical board, and those practitioners have reviewed every word of content in this program.

Additionally, we have had respected practitioners in the field of women’s hormone health review specific parts of the training program for accuracy. They include people like Dr. Carrie Jones, Dr. Jessica Drummond, Dr. Mariza Snyder and more.

We also spend money on bringing highly experienced teachers to speak to you. Every one of our teachers are highly qualified and well respected in the field, and we pay them what they’re worth, so that you can get an amazing education.

Accreditation only matters if you’re a licensed health practitioner

Another important point is that unless you are a licensed health practitioner, none of the accrediting organizations you see listed on different training program websites mean anything.

That’s right, unless you are a medical doctor, a nurse practitioner, an acupuncturist, a midwife, a physician assistant, or any other licensed practitioner, none of these accreditation agencies mean anything because your certification (health coach, life coach, holistic nutritionist etc) is generally not regulated in any country.

As a health coach, you have to follow your scope of practice for your state, province or country (it differs greatly from country to country and state to state), but unlike a doctor, there is no government authorized medical board that you are licensed under and that you have to report to.

There’s one exception…

The only exception when it comes to health coach training programs in the US is if you have done a NBHWC-certified health coach training program, and you’ve taken the national board exam to become a board-certified health coach.

If you did a training program and you’re board certified through this organization, then you can apply to get continuing education credits/units when you take my program.

If you are another type of practitioner, you can also apply to get continuing education credits/units through your certifying organization or board. You simply have to ask them what the requirements are and we will provide the necessary documentation.

Questions about insurance

Finally, some people have been worried about whether they will be able to get insurance for their practice if they do this program. Yes, you can get practitioner insurance if you do my certification. There are many insurance companies that insure all kinds of practitioners, from Ayurveda to Yoga and everything in between.

There are no specific training prerequisites for this certification program. However, we do recommend that you have either completed a training program or are in the process of completing a training program like a health coach certification, nutrition certification or something related to health and wellness. We’ll consider unique circumstances on an individual basis, so don’t be deterred!

In the past we’ve had multiple people share the concern that they don’t have a science background, so they’re not sure if they should even apply but the program has been designed to meet everyone where they’re at. Nicole will teach you the basic stuff all the way to the complex stuff so that you can take what resonates and leave the rest for now.

You’ll have access to the program’s content on an ongoing basis so you can absolutely refer back to it as you progress in your business and your education.

Don’t let your fears deter you. Nicole created this program for precisely that reason – so you can put your fears aside and move forward with your dreams.

There are a few main differences.

The first being that the Women’s Hormone Health Certification Program is run live once per year starting in October. The Women’s Hormone Health Self-Study is not live and is a go-at-your-own-pace program.

The program’s content is released over 6 months to help offer you some structure and a pathway for it’s completion, but completing the self-study within 6 months is by no means a requirement.

You’ll have access to the program’s content on an ongoing basis, so whether you follow the release schedule, need 9 months to work through it all or take a year, you can work at whatever pace fits you and your lifestyle.

The second difference is that the Women’s Hormone Health Certification Program is run live with weekly calls covering a series of different topics.

In the self-study program, you’ll receive recordings of selected calls from the 2022 Women’s Hormone Health Certification Program to solidify your knowledge of the material you’ll learn as you work through the modules.

Finally, at the end of the self-study program, you will receive a certificate of completion rather than a certification from the Institute for Menstrual Health.

All of that being said, during the first month of the program, you will have the opportunity to upgrade your self-study program to obtain your certification. Doing this will require that you attend two virtual teaching workshop days with Nicole and some incredible guest expert teachers.

Please note that there is an additional fee of $500 USD for upgrading to the Certification program to cover the cost of the two virtual teaching workshop days.

If you’re wanting to join the live group program, join the waitlist here to be the first to know when early enrollment opens in January 2025.
